Petition in LHC: Notice issued on cable operators’ plea

LAHORE: Lahore High court’s Justice Shahid Waheed has issued a notice on the cable operators’ collective petition against alleged harassment by the police and sought a reply today. The petitioner Khalid Arian, the chairman of the cable operators’ association of Pakistan, contended that the Punjab Police and administrative officials have been harassing cable operators for suspending Geo TV’s broadcast. The petitioners requested that the court take notice of the alleged harassment and ensure that they are protected against such threats.
