KARACHI:

The Sindh government and the Peoples Doctors Forum of the Pakistan Peoples Party will approach the authorities of the Guinness Book of World Records to visit, examine and certify the voluntary exercise of 'world's unique yearly blood collection' carried out by the forum to mark the birth anniversary of the late prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

This was decided at a meeting presided over by the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at CM House on Tuesday to discuss the modalities to collect the maximum amount of blood from the party leaders, workers and others during the upcoming donation campaign.

The three-day blood donation campaign will be held throughout Sindh from June 2 and the blood donation centres will be established at each district and taluka headquarters. A target of 30,000 blood pints has been set for the campaign.
