Immunisation: Anti-measles drive to continue

The Sindh health minister said the measles vaccination campaign should be continued for children.

The Sindh health minister said the measles vaccination campaign should be continued for children who were unable to get the vaccination during the drive that went on from May 19 to May 31. Dr Sagheer Ahmed spoke on Monday at a measles drive review meeting held at his office. He said the main objective for launching the measles campaign in Sindh was to save the children from fatal diseases.  Efforts were also under way to improve the routine immunisation situation, he added. He further urged the officers to ensure the availability of doctors, paramedical staff in government hospitals.
