Reviving businesses: K-P to set up two industrial estates

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has proposed setting up two industrial estates for which Rs1.2 billion will be allocated in the 2014-15 budget.


Adviser to the Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Muneem on Monday said that the government is keen to introduce different industrial schemes in the budget, and land for the purpose is also being purchased.


The first industrial estate, spreading over 1,000 kanals, will be established between Karak and Kohat districts and will be provided gas on priority basis, Muneem said, adding that the second will be set up over 240 kanals in Dargai, Malakand.


“The provincial government has allocated Rs858 million for the Small Industrial Development Board and Rs316 million for K-P’s industrial development.”
