A shopping centre was partially damaged in a blast late Saturday night, which also smashed the windowpanes of nearby shops in the main Attock city.


According to police sources, some unknown men had planted explosives under the shutter-gate of Sher-e-Punjab Shopping Centre near Bank Road, Attock, which went off with a huge bang. As a result, the shopping centre was partially damaged. Windowpanes of nearby shops were also smashed with the impact of the blast.

Immediately afterwards, electricity supply to the area was suspended because the power supply line was also partially damaged. Luckily, no casualties were reported. Local police, Rescue-1122 and bomb disposal squad officials rushed to the scene.  The police have started investigations.
