K-P tops provinces in paralympic games

Pakistan Army remained the top scorer of the competition with 217 points.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) topped among all the provinces in this year’s national paralympics games with 199 points while Punjab came in second with 174 points.


The closing ceremony for the sporting event was held on Saturday at Qayyum Sports Complex, where Minister for Education Atif Khan, Adviser to Chief Minister on Sports Amjid Afridi and other senior government officials were present.

Pakistan Army remained the top scorer of the competition with 217 points. It clinched 13 gold, 15 silver and four bronze medals, while the host team (K-P) bagged 12 gold, 11 silver and eight bronze medals.

Three hundred players spread across several teams, including Sindh, Balochistan, Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Islamabad, participated in the event. Competitive sports included cricket, badminton, table tennis, athletics, and archery.
