Musharraf is facing treason charges for subverting and circumventing the Constitution by imposing emergency on November 3, 2007. The federal government had placed his name on the ECL, stating he might try to abscond.
The former president’s lawyer Farogh Nasim had challenged the move, calling it ‘patently presumptuous’.
The division bench of the high court today heard the arguments from both defence and prosecution and reserved the judgement which will be announced on May 31.
Nasim, while speaking to the media after the hearing, said Musharraf was a target of ‘political ego’ and that the government was committing a crime by levelling treason charges against him.

Nawaz is the biggest criminal but managed to get into power through rigged elections .He has no credibility of serving the nation and rather his coward act of hijacking the army chief with 300 passengers put him behind the bars and supposed to have life in prison .But Thanks to Musharraf who spared his life
Musharraf served army > 50 yrs and fought two wars. He made some mistakes but Pakistan was 100 time better in his days
He came to country of his own but Alas the biased jUdiciary of Pakistan where Judges are hired to give verdict and one does not need lawyers .They postpone the decision till they get the orders from the executive and bribe money and then announce the decision
Despite all this ,Insha Allah Musharraf will come out as a hero very soon Insha Allah
There is no need to wait for the verdict. Its quite obvious what it will be!
....make sure he has his Polio Drops.
