Complaint cell: High court takes notice of rape in Mamun Kanjan

A relative said women was raped and then dumped in a field.

The Lahore High Court Complaint Cell on Wednesday took notice of a kidnapping and rape case in Mamun Kanjan.


The cell took notice on a press report.

The LHC complaint cell directed the Faisalabad district and sessions judge to look into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding the steps taken by the police in this regard in a week.

According to details, Arif, a relative of the affected woman, told newsmen that she along with her cousin were on their way to a bazaar when accused Sharafat and his 10 accomplices abducted them.

He said she was raped and then dumped in a field.

The Mamu Kanjan SHO said the police were waiting for a medico-legal examination report of the girl before taking any action.

He said a police team
had been constituted to search for and arrest the suspects.

I am working as Assistant in Punjab Civil Secretariat. I have no any house any where in Punjab. I am residing in a rented house. A Government Quarter No 47-D, Chuburji Garden Estate, Lahore was allotted to me by Estate Officer vide order No. 4493/2011 dated 3rd December, 2011 in place of Mst. Musarrat Begum, which has already retired from Government Service on 31st December, 2013. Her grace period has already been expired on 28th February, 2014 as per allotment policy.

The Estate Officer, Government of the Punjab, S&GAD has informed me that Mst. Musarrat Begum has filed a petition in the Honourable Court of Mr Mudassar Farid Khokhar, Civil Judge, Lahore. The lady is playing tactics to delay the handing over possession of the quarter.

It is further submitted that she requested for allotment of the said house to her daughter. Since her daughter named Mst. Shehnaz Kausar, Senior Clerk, Govt. Degree College for Women, Wapda Town, Lahore. But according to allotment policy she is not entitled for allotment of Government accommodation.

It is most respectfully it is prayed that quarter concerned may kindly be directed to dismiss petition for vacation of house No. D-47 Chauburji Garden Estate, Lahore.
