Sindh govt promises Rs6.5b for high-tech weapons.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Wednesday that the ongoing targeted operation against criminals in Karachi is likely to speed up as the Sindh government has allocated Rs6.5 billion for the purchase of high-tech weapons for Sindh police.

Addressing a passing out parade at Razzakabad Police Training Centre, the chief minister congratulated the forces and said that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain. The CM announced Rs150 million each for Razzakabad Police Training Centre and Saeedabad Police Training Centre.

“We should unite and fight against terrorism,” said Shah. “The forces will get modern weapons and training for better performance in fighting terrorists.” He added that the police were facing the criminals with courage and bravery, while the terrorists were attacking in ambush.

The passing out parade was held on the completion of the training of 803 personnels of the Elite Force and 140 Eaglets. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Elite Police Training Centre Razzakabad Commandant, Maqsood Ahmed, said that police would be provided with the latest weaponry.

“This training centre is an exemplary centre for giving specialised training to counter terrorism,” said Ahmed in his address.

How many Karachiite are in these new graduates? for sure none of them and it is a major problem of Karachi. NO LOCAL REPRESENTATION IN ADMINISTRATION
