Khan has designed long, flared shirts that are “very simple and clear”. She described her collection as “international styling with a desi soul” and says it is a “personalised decoration of a piece of art”.
Khan has been designing for five years and believes her collection has “an image of glamour, exclusivity and strong style which makes the brand, Zarmina, recognisable for sophistication and elegance.” With her new collection she has focused on the “unique but innovative blending of colours, textures and patterns”.
Khan has been displaying her work at Labels for two years and currently has 15 pieces on display at the boutique. She also showed at Fashion Pakistan Week in Karachi this April.
Labels’ Zahir Rahimtoola said that the collection is catering for the upcoming wedding season. “We have a heavier range of dresses and the collection is a good mix, as it is on chiffon fabric worked with kundun kari and heavy embellishments,” said Rahimtoola.
Khan is currently based in Lahore and offers her clientele high-end pret wear with one outfit ranging from Rs12,000 to Rs35,000. Khan says that she “is catering to women who fall in the age bracket of 16 years to 60 years of age.”
