Movement of forces: Daylong curfew imposed in Bannu

All business activities were halted and educational institutes closed down.

BANNU: The district government imposed a daylong curfew on the Bannu-Miranshah Road on Monday amid tightened security measures across the district. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ayaz Khan directed officials in the morning to impose a curfew on the Bannu-Miranshah Road and inform residents to restrict themselves to their houses. The curfew was imposed after security forces convoys started moving towards North Waziristan. All business activities were halted and educational institutes closed down till the afternoon when the convoys had passed. The curfew was lifted around 6pm and markets were reopened.
