Speaking on the exclusion of Pakistan players in the Indian Premier League (IPL), off-spinner Saeed Ajmal feels that the Board of Cricket Control in India and the organisers should give the issue some consideration.
“There are former Pakistani cricketers, umpires and coaches all present in the IPL,” he said.
“The only thing missing are the players. Anyway this is something for the authorities to sort out, as I would definitely like to have an opportunity to play in the IPL.”
Ajmal also stated that Pakistan have the potential to defeat India in the world championships and they will settle the score in the upcoming 2015 World Cup.
Meanwhile, when asked whether he would like being a Twenty20 captain, Saeed Ajmal said he has never really bothered about captaining any team.
“I like to play my cricket with a relaxed mindset and captaincy doesn’t allow you to do that in my opinion. I don’t want my hair to turn grey so quick,” he said.

Look at these beggers now. They seem out of money..lol.. Anyway, there is no place for chuckers and fixers in the IPL.
"Ajmal also stated that Pakistan have the potential to defeat India in the world championships and they will settle the score in the upcoming 2015 World Cup.?
2015 world cup is far away, Ajaml already started to open his big mouth!
Ajmal is a good cricketer. If relations between the two countries improve, it would be nice to see Ajmal in IPL.
As he pointed out former Pakistani players, coaches, umpires are already in IPL - so no one has a prolem with Pakistanis. It is the hard time that PCB had given about witholding permission until last day and the visas also being a question mark that had made it risky to invest mega bucks in Pakistani players who may not even be able to play. If those risks are addressed, no reqson Pakistani players would not be greatly welcome.
