LAHORE:

The Annual Alumni Reunion of the Government College University (GUC) Chemistry Department was held at the University’s Bukhari Lawns under the auspices of the Ravian Forensic Society on Saturday.

Vice Chancellor Muhammad Khaleequr Rahman was the chief guest. Rahman said the Chemistry Department had been a hub of research activities since its inception in 1896. He awarded certificates of appreciation to Registrar Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh and teachers for their achievements in the field of research.

Rahman said modern research had become complex and multidisciplinary, and it was not possible for one research institution, university or department to possess all the knowledge, equipment, and techniques required. He emphasised the need for universities to establish academic and research links with each other and share resources, expertise and equipment.
