Anupam Kher turns television producer

Veteran actor will also host the show, which is an extension of his renowned autobiographical play.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is making his television production debut with The Anupam Kher Show — Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, said that sharing celebrities’ journey of struggle and self-motivation through the show will be the “perfect onset” towards his new journey.

Hosted by Anupam himself, the show will be aired on television channel Colors and is an extension of his famous autobiographical play of the same name, in which he uninhibitedly shared his failures. “The show is my first foray into television production and it’s my belief that sharing stories of struggles, self-motivation and success of achievers from different walks of life will be the perfect onset of my journey into this unexplored territory,” he added.

Other than making his mark through a multitude of films, he has previously anchored shows such as Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle and Sawaal Dus Crore Ka. “Television is a medium that has been close to my heart and developing and hosting this show is like a homecoming,” said Anupam.

The show will highlight inspirational stories of popular Bollywood celebrities, who will speak about their lives’ challenges and trying times. The show’s shoot will commence by the end of May.

Colors’ CEO Raj Nayak is confident that the show will strike the right chord with viewers. “While people know Anupam Kher ‘the star’, there’s much more to him as a human being. His own story is extremely inspirational and now, he’s going to help others like him talk to our viewers about their life experiences,” he said.

“We are sure that with a host like Anupam on board, this show will make people laugh, cry, and be inspired at the same time,” said Nayak.
