Bogus Case : Dijkot SHO suspended

Dijkot station house officer (SHO) has been suspended for registering a bogus case against a citizen.

FAISALABAD: Dijkot station house officer (SHO) has been suspended for registering a bogus case against a citizen. A police spokesman said on Thursday that Dijkot SHO Malik Muhammad Hussain had registered a narcotics case against Hafiz Asif on May 13 and claimed to have seized over than one kilogramme hashish from him. Asif moved a complaint before the Faisalabad city police officer, saying that he was implicated in a bogus narcotics case. The CPO ordered the Iqbal Town Superintendent Police (SP) Zulfiqar Ali to probe the matter and submit report. The SP stated in his report that Asif had been falsely implicated by the SHO. City Police Officer (CPO) Haidar Ashraf then issued orders for his immediate suspension. Investigation In-charge Aslam Bhatti was appointed as acting SHO Dijkot police station.
