Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafri, who filed the petition, claimed that these politicians caused a huge loss to the national exchequer by transferring at least $200 billion to foreign countries through money laundering.
The list of politicians summoned includes former president Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan, PTI Vice Chairperson Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Pakistan Peoples Party Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
On May 9, LHC had issued notices to federal government and at least 64 politicians for not submitting their affidavits about alleged money laundering. A few of the politicians claimed that they have not received the notices as yet. In light of this, the court today decided to issue a public notice in this regard.
After issuing the order, Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan adjourned the hearing till June 16.

These dramas have been done a thousand times, Dont these judges realise that ordinary people are not stupid? besides, what is the point of a justice system that doesn't have the power to enforce a judgement. This is all a farce and we must stop making ourselves idiots in the eyes of the world. The writ of the state of Pakistan is barely confined to red zone of Islamabad and It is only a question of time before something gives and a total collapse of the state takes place. May Allah help us.

At least in this case the two nation theory has been invalidated. India has same problems ........ > $1 trillion hidden abroad by politicians and political parties, mainly Congress.
Swiss banks gave details of these bank accounts many years ago but Congress chose to keep it secret. Modi has promised to bring back this hidden wealth back to India. If he keeps his words and is successful, it will bring huge transformation in India.

Our h'ble Judiciary makes lot of noise but does nothing when time to take action time to give verdicts and implement their verdicts in case of terrorists and politicians both.So i have no high hopes this time another standard procedure will end up like another CIA agent case or recently FBI agent case.

This is very good , great job done by LHC but courts have to take action to force them to bring looted money back to country , and politician if you think your money is safe abroad than please be with your money and let the one rule the country whose money is safe in his motherland.
It is a double high treason case: a. Stealing tax payer`s money 2. taking it to foreign countries.
Mark my words; NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

If I bring all my assets to Pakistan, what guarantee do I have that they will not be frozen as a result of a politically motivated case against me or a military coup ? I will keep it where it is safe. Judges should concentrate on their work and stop trying hard to get in news every day!

Good Action by court they must bring their wealth to Pakistan otherwise they should not allowed to take part in elections and suspended from their posts.

This is a good start but it should also include the list of serving & retired bureaucrats, armed forces, respected judges and media personalities giving sermons on TV.
$200 billion? So if these people were taxed 1% for keeping money in Pak, Pak will gain $2 billion in taxes anually. Imagine what the $2 billion can do for Pak. PAF can buy nearly 40 F-16 jets brand new every year. Or Pakistan can open 2000 schools anually, at a cost of million dollar each. Or Pakistan can send send 660,000 total free haji ($3000 per haji /2,000,000,000). Can you see the power of 1% annual tax JUST on the "PROVEN" money outside the country? Meanwhile, France passed law taxing 75% for million+ earners, in euros per year. Imagine if that was implemented in Pakistan... Unfortunately, much of millionares in Pakistan are part of gov't. ET pls publsih.
Another wastage of Time & Tax payers money on politicians, did any politician ever got a term in jail for corruption, never, then why again and again such cases which cost tax payers heavy fees paid to the lawyers of our beloved politicians in government.
