Gen Raheel to embark on Kabul visit today
The tripartite meeting is aimed at discussing cooperation in security and in fighting terrorism.

The country’s military chief General Raheel Sharif is set to travel to Kabul today (Monday) to meet top Afghan and Nato commanders.
“The chief of the army staff will be going to Kabul on Monday [today] for a day-long visit. He will hold important meetings with Afghan military and Isaf commanders,” a text message from Inter-Services Public Relations said on Sunday.
His meetings with Afghan military and Isaf authorities will focus on the post-2014 scenario in the region, officials said.
Afghanistan’s defence ministry confirmed Gen Raheel will attend a trilateral meeting with Afghan army chief Gen Sher Mohammad Karimi and Isaf Commander Gen Joseph Dunford in Kabul today.
“The tripartite meeting is aimed at discussing cooperation in security and in fighting terrorism,”Afghan defence ministry spokesman Gen Zahir Azeemi said in a statement.
