Domestic help: Case sought against Junaid Jamshaid

The petitioner filed a compliance petition seeking directions for the police to act upon the court order.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from South Cantt station house officer in a compliance petition seeking registration of a case against former pop singer Junaid Jamshaid, his wife and a cousin for beating him when he sought his salary. Petitioner Sohail Masih said him and his wife worked at Jamshaid’s house and were paid Rs14,000 salary every month. He said he had not been paid for three months. He said last week he asked for his salary from Jamshaid’s wife. He claimed that later Jamshaid and his cousin Muhammad Naseer beat him. He said the police had not registered a case and the court had directed the police to record the version of the petitoner but the SHO had not done so. The petitioner then filed a compliance petition seeking directions for the police to act upon the court order.
