ISLAMABAD: Dozens of daily wage teachers of model and federal government colleges called off their strike on Wednesday after the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) secretary assured them the regularization cases of around 1,073 teachers will be processed. On Wednesday, they held meeting with CADD Secretary Faridullah Khan and Joint Education Secretary Rafique Tahir. The previous government had also formed a cabinet sub-committee headed by Khurshid Shah for regularisation of contract and daily wage employees. The committee had issued notifications for regularisation of all such staffers, and many such employees also got medical examination certificates, but the notifications did not get a nod from the CADD. The secretary has also assured them to write a letter to finance division to allow it for hiring against sanctioned posts.
