Encounter: ‘Militant’ killed, policemen injured
Kohat DPO says police raided the house of suspect Rizwan who opened fire at them and injured SHO Afzal Khan.
KOHAT:
A suspected militant was killed and two policemen were injured in an encounter in Shakardara area of Kohat on Tuesday. Kohat DPO Saleem Marwat said police raided the house of suspect Rizwan who opened fire at them and injured SHO Afzal Khan along with his driver. Police then retaliated and killed Rizwan on the spot. Marwat said the deceased militant had escaped from prison during the DI Khan jailbreak last year. He was wanted by the police in a series of bomb blasts and for attacking police check posts in K-P.
