Alcoholism: Moonshine liquor kills five

Five people, including four boys and a policeman, died after consuming moonshine liquor.

Five people, including four boys and a policeman, died after consuming moonshine liquor on Monday in Santa Singh, old Nawabshah.


According to Peoples Medical College Hospital emergency ward incharge Dr Abdullah Brohi, 18-year-old Ameen Mughal was the brother of a local political figure and died of over-consumption. The other deceased persons have been identified Rashid Merasi Shah, 18, Abid Ranghar, 22, Shafique Malik, 21, and police constable Rafique Bhanganwar, 36.
