Collaboration: Punjab body signs MoU with CPCC

MoU was signed by the PBIT Director General (Investor Relations) Jalal Hasan and CPCC President Mehreen Javaid.

LAHORE: Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Canada Pakistan Chamber of Commerce (CPCC) for collaboration in the energy, mining and agriculture sectors. The MoU was signed by the PBIT Director General (Investor Relations) Jalal Hasan and CPCC President Mehreen Javaid. She thanked the PBIT for playing an effective role in facilitating the CPCC meetings with government officials and private businessmen. Canadian High Commissioner Greg Giokas said Pakistan was a very competitive country in terms of trade in many sectors like energy, mining and agriculture. He said that Pakistan had been given the status of Most Favored Nation for trade in agriculture sector, so it should make the most of it as one quarter of its GDP came from that sector.
