Tifa Council: Pakistan-US trade talks open today

Pakistan and US will discuss expanding trade relations as top officials of the two countries hold TIFA.

WASHINGTON: Pakistan and the United States will discuss expanding trade relations as top officials of the two countries hold Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) council meeting on Tuesday. Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan will lead the Pakistani delegation while US Trade Representative Ambassador Michael Froman will head the American side at the meeting. During the visit, the commerce minister will also address a gathering of American think tank experts at Washington’s Atlantic Council and illustrate Islamabad’s policy with regard to bilateral and regional trade priorities.
