Two workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement identified as Gauhar Ali Abidi and Syed Rizwan, were shot dead in North Karachi.
DSP Altaf Hussain said both men were Shia and suspect it was a targeted attack. The DSP added that they were playing cricket when unidentified men on motorcycles came opened fire at them.
In an unrelated incident, Imran, a grocery shop owner, was killed while two others identified as Pervez and Afzal were injured when unidentified assailants shot at them within the jurisdiction of the Al-Falah police station.
The police claimed that the incident took place when the unidentified men were setting Pervez's milk shop on fire. Imran and Afzal were trying to stop them. According to the DSP, the motive behind the incident could not be ascertained.
A suspected militant was found dead in Sohrab Goth. The deceased was identified as Imran. SHO Muhammad Shoaib said that a hand grenade, pistol and bullets were also found with the body.
In Al-Falah, 25-year-old Afnan Baloch was stabbed to death over a personal enmity. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
A 42-year-old police constable identified as Firdous Khan was shot dead in Quaidabad. The police said that the deceased was posted at Frere police station when unidentified men shot him over a mugging incident.

Really it is very sad, two more innocent people died, but I dont understand, why DSP Altaf Hussain, declare them, that both were Shia. Instead of catching killer, he asking people to get anger. What kind of police we have....
