Police ‘inaction’: Aggrieved father demands justice
Father says his daughter went missing on May 6 and her body was later found close to their house.

The father of a nine-year-old girl, who was raped and killed, has demanded the Peshawar High Court and the K-P chief minister take notice of the incident and inaction of the police. Abdur Rehman said his daughter Shumaila went missing on May 6 and her body was later found close to their house in Zafarabad Colony. A Dera Town police official told The Express Tribune after recovering the body, police shifted it to a hospital for an autopsy which confirmed the girl had been raped. Rehman had lodged an FIR at the Dera Town police station, claiming the police is not taking the case seriously. Residents have called for strict punishment for the culprits.
