Polio vaccine: Health certification for passengers

Khwaja Salman Rafique says govt will make adequate arrangements for polio vaccination of international travellers.

LAHORE: Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Khwaja Salman Rafique said on Thursday the government would make adequate arrangements for polio vaccination of international travellers, as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Addressing health executive district officers (EDOs), he asked them to establish polio vaccination and certification centres at all public hospitals and district health offices. Health Secretary Ijaz Munir EDOs and medical superintendents had been authorised to issue international polio vaccination certificates.
