"Several security forces personnel are critically injured."
The injured were taken to CMH hospital for medical assistance. The explosive material was planted on the side of the road and it exploded when the convoy was passing by.
An official of the security forces told The Express Tribune that it was a remote control explosion.
The security forces have reached the site of the blast and cordoned off the area. No group claimed responsibility for the attack till filing of this report.
Local military officials confirmed the incident and said troops called in air support and launched a search operation in the area after the attack.

The irony of the whole issue is ... the Pakistani establishment seems to have learned nothing from their misguided policy of asymmetrical war against the neighbours through "strategic assets" ... !! ... GOD only knows, how many more years would it take to drive the message in to the establishment ... !!
Imran Khan zindabad ! JI zindabad !
We cannot say enough about the sacrifices made by the Pakistani security forces in fighting terrorism. We take our hat off to these brave soldiers who died while serving their country. We send our condolences to their families, and sincerely hope that they will find the strength to deal with this tragedy. Our nations have been working side by side to negate the threat of terrorism, and no two other nations could understand each other’s sacrifices more in our common fight against terrorism. We have lost thousands of brave soldiers in trying to restore peace throughout the region. The terrorists have been unable to break our shared will and desire to succeed against terrorism. We remain committed to restoring peace in the region, and fully support the government of Pakistan in their quest for peace.

@Parvez: Well Said.
Thousands of poor villager soldiers have died and the ultra rich rulers are using them for their own benefits.
.........and Nawaz STILL insists on talking to these criminals. It is time to put the army to good use and protect the country from its enemy......is that not what the army itsef said it was meant to do ?
