Busted: Gang of robbers arrested

The DPO had formed a committee to arrest the gang.

JOHARABAD: Khushab police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested six members of a gang of robbers. In a press conference, District Police Officer Faisal Gulzar said six members of a gang accused of several cases of robbery and theft had been arrested on Tuesday. He said the police had seized cash and stolen items from them. He said the Bismillah gang, also known as Fauji Afghani Gang, was accused of robberies in several districts. The DPO had formed a committee to arrest the gang. They arrested all members of the gang and recovered Rs1.5 million, jewellery, two motorcycles, 15 mobile phones, a Kalashnikov rifle and five pistols. Khushab SHO Arshad Abbas said the gang had been wanted for at least 13 robberies in Khushab district alone.
