ISLAMABAD: The World Bank in a letter written to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has appreciated his vision, hard work and courage to tackle the difficult issues the country has been facing.

World Bank South Asia Region Vice President Philippe Le Hourou said that the Board was pleased with the actions taken by Pakistan and advised the government to stay the course, while acknowledging World Bank Group’s commitment to stay engaged in Pakistan’s development.

“I am happy to report that it really was a ‘Pakistan Day’ and Pakistan was shinning. It is very clear that we owe this success to the strong leadership of the Prime Minister and to the Finance Minister ‘personally,’ Le Houerou added.

Just like India was shining, when BJP was routed by the people in the elections about 10 years ago. Of course, WB and IMF will appreciate the tunnel vision of I$haq Dar and Nawaz Sharif whose policy of Kashkol-II seems to be going to an unprecedented new level.
