Heinous Crime: Police arrest two for rape, murder

The suspects have reportedly confessed to killing and throwing the body in a canal.

BAHAWALPUR: Police have arrested two men for the abduction, rape and murder of a 14-year-old boy on Saturday.

The suspects have reportedly confessed to killing and throwing his body in a canal. Police said that on April 24 Zeeshan Mushtaq, a resident of 117DB Yazman, was abducted by Shabbir and Saifur Rehman.

Police said they took him to the fields nearby, raped and strangled him, and threw his body into a canal. Police said Mushtaq’s father had nominated Shabbir and Saifur Rehman.

He said when police interrogated the suspects, they confessed to their crimes. Police also recovered Mushtaq’s bicycle from them.

Thank God the police have managed to get a confession from these criminals for their heinous crimes. There can be no excuses now. Instead of focusing on matters of freedom of speech, we need to focus on making sure we rid our society of this kind of perverted behaviour. The punishment should be swift and memorable so no pervert will ever dare to do something like this again.
