MANSEHRA: The body of a woman found murdered last month was exhumed on Saturday after which her family members positively identified her.

The body was exhumed on the orders of a judicial magistrate when Niaz Muhammad, a resident of Qalandarabad, filed an application stating that the woman whose bullet-riddled body was found on Krori Road in Oghi on April 12, resembles his younger sister Habibun Nisa.

He had informed that Nisa was married to Safiullah, a resident of the same village, for seven years. He told the court that his sister went missing from her home about four months back and despite widespread efforts they could not find her.

Niaz added that his brother-in-law was out of the country and his sister did not have any children, after which the court allowed the exhuming. Nisa’s parents and brother identified the body as that of their sister’s.
