The criminal has been arrested by the police after being brutally beaten by the residents who had tried to kill him.
According to details, the perpetrator Faisal, 15, was a student of a tailor, Mazhar Hussain who was well known for sewing clothes in the village in the rural area Chak Roohari in district Muzaffargarh.
Faisal gained the trust of Hussain who had assigned him the daily task of buying groceries and delivering them to the latter’s house.
When Faisal arrived at the residence yesterday, he found the child sleeping alone at home. He offered to buy her toffees from the market, and then took her to a nearby field to rape her.
As he had undressed himself and tried to rape the child, she had started to weep. Hearing her cries, some of the peasants who had come for harvesting wheat caught him in the act.
The residents beat him brutally with wooden sticks and bricks, and immediately shifted the child to DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh.
Doctors told The Express Tribune that the little girl was unconscious and slightly injured, but safe now and has also been handed to her parents to take her home.
Police had arrived on the spot and arrested the criminal. DPO Rai Zameer-ul-Haq told The Express Tribune that the criminal will be punished on merit. “Dealing with the criminal according to the law will make him an example for others,” he said.
He further stated that and FIR had been lodged at the police station in Muzaffargarh under section 376/511 against the criminal.
In his statement to the police, the criminal said his master used to beat him for making mistakes and was taking revenge.
Residents in the vicinity had demanded that the criminal be handed over to them and that he should be stoned to death publicly.

@ USMAN: Seriously? You want to find the root cause of a problem that a boy beaten by his employer will take it on a 18month old girl? The root cause of taking revenge on an 18month old baby for the bad employer-employee with her father?
There is no root cause. There is no 'best course of action'. The ONLY course of action should be to publicly beat him to death so that the world knows what should happen to child molestors (regardless of their 'justification').
Happens everywhere in the world, someone wrote. So? Is that an excuse? We know it happens in the West all the time. The catholic priests are famous for it. But two wrongs don't make a right.

It's obviously a very sad and unfortunate situation. But it hurts to read that the perpetrator is only a 15 year old....... He was beaten and arrested. I am just wondering if that is the best course of action? Maybe he needs rehabilitation and counseling. Are we solving the issue by throwing him in jail, where most likely, he is subject to further torture. I am not offering no excuse for his behavior, and as a parent, It would be very hard to control my anger. But it doesn't seem right to crucify him and place a final judgement before identifying the root cause and possibly fixing the problem for good.
Things like this happen in all countries but only in Pakistan the liberals cry and bleep to the whole world.

15 year old handed over to the police eh? Who wants to bet he's now being gang raped by a big bunch of lusty policemen - this scenario is basically their dream come true.
But hey, the kid shouldn't complain, society wants to stone him to death.
