AIOU, Malaysian varsity sign agreement

ISLAMABAD:


Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and School of Chemical Sciences and Food Technology, University of Malaysia, on Friday signed an agreement to develop academic interaction in the field of chemistry.      


The agreement was signed by Chairman Department of Chemistry Prof Dr Naghmana Rashid and Prof Bohari M Yamin on behalf of their respective universities.

The agreement was inked on the occasion of the inaugural ceremony of the three-day national seminar on chemistry. It aimed at promoting and strengthening links between the two universities for projection of their common goals in the subject.

AIOP Prof Dr Abdul Hafiz said that the agreement will be an important milestone to bring the two universities together for enriching their students about the latest development in chemistry.

AIOU Registrar Prof Dr Nowshad Khan appreciated the role of Dr Naghmana for promotion of chemistry. He said that it was due to her dedication that the university was offering MPhil and PhD programmes in chemistry.
