Taking Pride: Owais lauds army’s sacrifices

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) central leader and former provincial minister Syed Owais Muzaffar on Wednesday said Pakistan Army and security institutions offered huge sacrifices in their fight against terrorism.

“The nation takes pride in its armed forces and salutes the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the country,” he said in a statement.

He said the armed forces have made valuable contributions at every juncture and have offered memorable services both during the times of war as well as during natural disasters.

“The PPP pays homage to the martyrs and reiterates its resolve that it will continue their mission by establishing peace and eradicating terrorism,” he said, adding that the PPP was also a party of martyrs and its leaders had laid their lives for the country and its people.
