Police found an injured man and recovered a grenade from his possession in Risalpur on Tuesday.
Javaid Khan, an official of the Risalpur police, said a pedestrian called the police station in the morning stating he had spotted a body in Bara Bhanda area after which police rushed to the spot and found an injured man lying on the ground with a grenade in his hand.
The official added a bomb disposal unit (BDU) official defused the grenade and the man was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital in critical condition as he had multiple bullet wounds.
The man was identified as Hamdullah, a resident of Mardan currently living in Pabbi, Nowshera.

“At the moment we do not know who or what his intended target was or who shot him,” Javaid said, adding a case was filed and further investigation is under way.
