QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that practical steps are being taken to eradicate corruption from Balochistan so that the fruits of good governance could reach the masses. Talking to the media at Dera Murad Jamali on Saturday, he vowed to end the Patwari culture and to hold back salaries of teachers and doctors who do not work but collect pay from the exchequer. Difference between Levies and Police would be erased by introducing a uniform administrative structure in Balochistan, he said. “This will help us improve the law and order situation in Balochistan and maintain peace,” he added, saying that Levies force does not fulfil the requirements of the 21st century.
