Abbottabad bench: High court bar association election results announced

Advocate Shad Muhammad Khan becomes president, securing 337 votes, while rival candidate Sardar Aman gets 171 votes.

The annual election of the High Court Bar Association Abbottabad was held here on Saturday.


According to results issued by Election Commissioner Advocate Syed Amjad Hussain Shah, Advocate Shad Muhammad Khan won the office of president, securing 337 votes. His rival candidate Sardar Aman bagged 171 votes.

For the office of general secretary, there were two candidates, including Advocates Muhammad Atif Jadoon and Musa Siddique. Jadoon was elected general secretary with 297 votes, while his rival bagged 270 votes.

According to a notification, Advocates Raheela Mughal, Khalid Rabbani, Mohiuddin and Malik Waheed Akhtar were elected unopposed as vice president, joint secretary, library secretary and finance secretary, respectively.

Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Syed Raza Ali Shah, Jamal Shah Masood and Muhammad Tahir Afzal also returned unopposed as members of the executive council.
