‘School of Tomorrow: Freedom to Learn’

ISLAMABAD: The Beaconhouse Group is set to host a major international conference on education, titled the “School of Tomorrow: Freedom to Learn.”

The conference is bringing together scholars, educationists, policy makers and professionals from around the world to Lahore. The two-day conference includes numerous workshops and panel discussions related to four main topics: The Power of Diversity: New Ways of Teaching and Learning, Reframing Early Childhood Education, Teacher Education for Sustainable Development and Changing Education: Leadership, Innovation and Development.

The international speakers at the conference include experts and leading professionals from the US, UK, India, New Zealand and Pakistan. Some of the names are Richard Mark Gerver, inspirational leader and educator, Professor Andrew Cecil Goodwyn, head of Institute of Education, University of Reading, Dr Catherine Temple Wilson, director of Art Education Programs at Memphis College of Arts, among others.

Noted luminaries, writers, analysts, professionals and role models will attend the conference and act as moderators and panelists for the focus group discussions.

The 2005 “Freedom to Learn” conference held by Beaconhouse included participation from Noam Chomsky via video conference, Jonathan Power and Pervez Hoodbhoy, among 30 other delegates from around the world.
