ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari has said that Pakistan and Russia have convergence of views on most of the international and regional issues. Bokhari expressed these views during a meeting with Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Sergy Lavrov in Moscow, said a message received from Russia. A delegation of senators is on a four-day visit to Russian Federation. Bokhari said that constructive engagement of the two countries would help in prosperity of the region. During the meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergy Lavrov said that Russia gives high importance to its relations with Pakistan as it is an important country in the region and the Muslim world. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Kremlin and was briefed about the rich cultural history of Russia.
