Extortion threats : Blast damages soft drink factory of MNC
A tank at the manufacturing unit of a multinational soft drink company was damaged in a low-intensity blast.
PESHAWAR:
A tank at the manufacturing unit of a multinational soft drink company was damaged in a low-intensity blast at Hayatabad Industrial Estate on Wednesday night. Police on Thursday said the manager of the unit lodged an FIR stating some people have been threatening them and demanding extortion money. “Last night, they planted a low-intensity explosive device inside their manufacturing plant,” said an official of the local police station. He added there was no loss of life in the blast.
