Family Issues: Police warned to leave couple alone
She said he had threatened her husband with dire consequences if he did not divorce her again.

An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday directed the police not to harass a woman who said she wanted to live with her husband. Petitioner Nadia Maqbool told the court that her father was an assistant sub inspector. She said he had threatened her husband with dire consequences if he did not divorce her again. She said she had married Faisal Karamat on October 7, 2012. She said on January 21, 2014 her father had forced her husband to divorce her. She said she had contacted him within 90 days and he had taken her back home. She said her father ASI Muhammad Maqbool was angered by her decision and was now threatening her and her husband with arrest. She said her father and Nishtar Colony SHO had threatened to implicate them in fake cases. The court directed police officials, including the petitioner’s father, to not harass the petitioner.
