Hit-and-run: Minor killed in road accident

Police say a two-and-half-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi.

A toddler was killed in Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi, according to the police.

A two-and-half-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident, the police said on Thursday. Shayan Ali was playing outside his house in Dhoke Kala Khan when a speeding taxi driver hit and injured him critically.

Shayan was taken to District Headquarters hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors on arrival, an uncle of the victim told the police in a statement.

A case has been registered against the driver but since nobody could identify him, the police have not been able to arrest him.
