A resident of Kahawar Kalan town near Darya Khan, where two men have been accused of cannibalism, has claimed that one of the brothers’ victims may have been his nine-month-old baby boy.
Ashiq Hussain, reportedly a relative of the two men, said his baby was buried last Wednesday in the same graveyard that the two brothers, Arif and Farman, targeted when they consumed human flesh. The recovery of a child’s head from the brothers’ house on Monday confirmed that the two – jailed three years ago for the same crime – had committed the crime once more.
The special team at Bhakkar’s Kallur Kot police station says it has not received any substantial information regarding victims from the brothers on the first day of investigation. The two men say they stole the child’s body from the graveyard at night and they are now unable to identify the exact location of the grave.
DSP Akram Khan Niazi said Ashiq Hussain’s claim can be verified if the sessions court allows officials to re-dig the grave the child was buried in.
The two brothers have been moved from Kallur Kot station to an undisclosed location for security reasons.
Meanwhile, another funeral shroud was recovered from the brothers’ house, causing unrest among locals. Police and Elite Force officials have been deployed at the house after locals attacked it on Monday.
Police said they have contacted the brothers’ relatives, including their third brother, as they wanted to hand over Arif and Farman’s belongings. Their relatives have refused to take possession of these items. Police said the house will be sealed after handing the brothers’ possessions over to any relative.
DSP Akram Khan Niazi refuted rumours that the accused have gone on a hunger strike and are refusing to eat anything.

these people are wrongly treated because they are mentally ill.they should be admited in mental hospital.
@Faraz:
It is in-fact very appropriate. Just because a person is mentally handicapped does it make it okay for him to commit crimes and get away with it. In their case, first of all we need to clearly establish that they are in-fact mentally challenged and not just making up excuses to get a free out of jail card.
Secondly, i pity the excuse of a father that let this happen and hasn't taken any action himself and relied of police that let these goons out for the same crime before. Had it been me, these two would be long dead.
We are in a sorry state, that jails people if they don't totally believe in religion but can always let out people who actually commit crimes strictly opposed in religion's guidelines. What a country!
Had it been your child, your response might be very different than shielding these cannibals.
It would appear that the only way to keep them off the street is to accuse them of blasphemy.
While these animals (apology to animals) were let out of jails those wrongly accused of blasphemy are still in jail. Where are the mullahs and where is the outrage now? No fatwa or dharna in these acts that went on for years.
