No take-off: Four arrested for fake documents

FIA says 4 people were trying to fly abroad on forged documents.

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested four people for trying to fly abroad on forged documents, FIA officials said. They said they arrested Bakht Afsar, a resident of Swat, from a Malaysia-bound flight TG346 at Allama Iqbal International Airport. He told them he had paid Rs100,000 to get a fake visa from a travel agent. Iftikhar Ahmad, a resident of Narowal, was off-loaded from the same flight, officials said. Ahmad said he had paid Rs350,000 to Muhammad Boota to get fake documents. They said Abdul Wahab, a resident of Mandi Bahauddin, had been arrested from a South Africa-bound flight, EK623. He had a fake business visa, they said. Haider Ali of Sahiwal was arrested from a New York-bound flight, PK 721.
