PESHAWAR: Expressing grievances over the prolonged issuance of a mining licence for an exploration project in Chitral, a Chinese company has claimed it will be withdrawing its investment from the province and moving to Balochistan. This was stated by the chairman of Pak-China Investors Joint Venture and Tuny-Pak Mineral Private Limited, Jhon Fu Qiufeng, while addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday. Officials of the company and the provincial president and general secretary of the Frontier Mine Owner Association were also present at the occasion. Qiufeng said Chinese investors have made huge investments in various mine and mineral projects in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. “We are unable to continue mining in K-P because of non-issuance of a licence by Minister for Mineral Development Ziaulllah Afridi,” said the chairman.
