Sight for sore eyes: Annual flower show held

The wife of Corps Commander Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani inaugurated the 8th annual rose and spring flower show at Garrison Park Peshawar Cantt. Present as the chief guest on the occasion, she also distributed prizes among the winners of the competition. Prizes were distributed in six categories while the overall winner, Cantonment Board, was awarded the Commander 11 Corps Challenge Cup. Speaking on the occasion, the corps commander said, “By taking part in such exhibitions we express our aesthetic sense and compliment the wonders of nature. Plants and flowers make our environment beautiful, pollution free and the world a better place,” he added.
