Educating Fata: Students offered stipend, edible oil

ISLAMABAD: Enrolment of students in Federally Administered Tribal Area (Fata is expected to increase by at least 10% in the forthcoming academic session 2014-15. Talking to APP on Friday an official of Ministry for States and Frontier Region informed that free text books are being provided to all students from KG to class 10 in government schools since 2005-06. Girls studying in government schools from class 6th to 10th in entire Fata are given a monthly scholarship of Rs200. The official said boys and girls studying in government primary schools get 75g pack of biscuits every day and girls from middle up to secondary schools are given 4.5 kg tin of edible oil on monthly basis.
