Daylight heist: Armed men take away Rs2m from bank

Four armed men robbed two million rupees from a private bank on Masjid Road in downtown Quetta.

QUETTA: Four armed men robbed two million rupees from a private bank on Masjid Road in downtown Quetta on Friday. “Four men in black dress barged into the bank and held the two security guards hostage at gun point,” an eyewitness said, adding that they robbed Rs2 million. “The two armed men were standing outside the bank, posing as Levies personnel with their black militia dress,” he said. The robbers escaped from the scene. The two security guards had been taken into custody for questioning.  “We have asked the bank management to provide us with CCTV footage. It will help us to identify the robbers,” Mohammed Aslam, SHO City Police Station said.
