Distinction: A day of recognition for high achievers

Convocation of the Roots International Schools (RIT) was a moment of pride for students as well as their parents and teachers that took place on Friday at Jinnah Convention Centre on Friday.


About 960 high-achievers were recognised for their distinctions at the 26th convocation of RIT.

A colorful group of student-performers impressed the audience with their well-timed moves and swift team work to showcase the life on earth amid the changing climate.

The students were awarded platinum, gold and silver medals by the ambassadors of Cuba, Austria, Italy, and Argentina.

RIT Chief Executive Officer Walid Mushtaq while addressing the students said their success reflects their hard work as well as commitment of the RIS staff.

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch were also among the guests.

Iqbal said, “After studying abroad, you must return to serve your country with the passion and patience that is required here.”

He added that if one was determined and worked hard, he or she could achieve anything in life. “This country is full of opportunities but you have to have belief and determination.”

A-level achiever Mohid Ahmed Janjua said, “I feel humbled and honoured to get distinction among thousands of students.”
