Loud protest: ‘Police killed our family members’

Six women record their protest at LHC with public lamentation and beating of chests.

LAHORE: Six women recorded their protest at the Lahore High Court on Friday with public lamentation and beating of chests. They alleged that three men in their family had been killed by police and three others illegally detained. Ramzana Bibi led the women from Gujranwala. They were at the LHC to attend the proceedings of their writ petition for the recovery of their relatives. They also sought an FIR against policemen accused of murdering their family members. The Gujranwala RPO submitted a report on the subject stating that none of the men were wanted in any case. It also said that none of them were in police custody.
